Funding for organizations includes financial grants, commodities, and technical assistance given by or managed through the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) to IPPF Member Associations and other organizations based in the specified country as reported in IPPF Financial Statements from 2008 to 2016 for activities of the respective organizations including (but not limited to) abortion, contraception, sex education, and advocacy to effect change in laws and/or policies on abortion and/or "sexual and reproductive health and rights." Totals include funds distributed through the Safe Abortion Action Fund (SAAF) of which IPPF acts as Secretariat on behalf of SAAF donors. All figures are in U.S. Dollars as reported in IPPF Financial Statements from 2008 to 2016. Values do not account for inflation of exchange rates over time. Values given may not represent the entirety of funds granted to organizations based in a given country as some funds are allocated to regions rather than to specific countries. Values do not include country specific data for various grants that amount to less than $10,000 (USD). The total for various grants under $10,000 (USD) between 2008-2016 amounted to over $1.1 million (USD). Member Associations of IPPF are autonomous organizations and may receive and raise funding independent of IPPF. Total values do not imply full representation of all funds received by Member Associations or other organizations receiving funding through IPPF.
